Registration
Fees
The registration fee is a yearly fee which is due when a participant enrolls in
a class. All present members are entitled to pat the registration fee upon
registering for their first class. This fee is necessary to help defray
the cost of liability expenses. The registration fee is $25. Team members
also pay the registration and are required to join the USAG, which is a yearly fee
also. Monthly Fees
National Academy operates on a monthly program. If fees are not paid by
the 10th of the month, there will be an additional $10 service charge. If
fees are not paid by the 15th of the month, the child will not be allowed to
participate in the class. Fees are not prorated when classes are missed;
however, classes can be made up in another appropriate class. Make-Ups
Students who miss class are entitled to make up the missed class. No
classes can be made up if the fees for the current session have not been
paid. When students pay for a session, they are considered "active
members." Make-ups are only allowed if the student is an active
member. All make-ups must be scheduled through an instructor. Inclement
Weather
In case of inclement weather, please call the gym prior to coming to ensure that
classes are being held. Make-ups may be scheduled for missed classes. Holidays
Holidays will not be prorated (except for December). Classes falling on a
holiday that the gym is closed may be made up. December fees will be cut
in half due to the gym closing for two weeks during this holiday. Observation
Parents and friends are allowed to observe from the seating area. No one
is allowed in the gymnastic area unless participating in a class. Parents
participating with their child in the Parent/Child class are allowed in the gym
area. Dress
All participants must wear clothing that has "stretch-ability."
Leotards or shorts with T-shirts that can be tucked in are preferred. Blue
jeans and tight clothing are inappropriate. Long hair must be tied back,
and no jewelry is allowed. Safety
Safety is a primary concern in our program. We teach participants their
limitations and the safest way of learning gymnastic skills. We try to
eliminate the possibility of accidents; but, due to the nature of the sport,
there is always the chance of injury. We encourage parents to review the
following safety rules with their child:
Participants are not allowed on the equipment without supervision of an
instructor.
Participants are expected to stay
with their class on the designated apparatus. Those participating in the
Parent/Child class must be supervised by their parents to avoid "dangerous
play."
Participants need to be aware of
other students when they are moving to another area of the gym so they do not
get in the path of another participant.
Horseplay
and unruly contact are not acceptable. Feet
and hands should be kept to yourself.
Parents are asked not to
"coach" from the viewing area. Not only is this distracting, but
it is unsafe to the participants and disrespectful to the coach.
Students should not try tumbling
skills at home. Proper matting and space are not available in the home,
and injuries could occur. Stretching and conditioning can be done at home
and should be encouraged to make the child stronger and more flexible.
Remember that safety comes
first. The learning environment is more conducive when everyone becomes
safety conscious.
All
participants must be picked up in the gym. No one will be allowed to wait
outside or at the door for pick-up. |
