Women's Competitive Gymnastics Coach Needed
Valley Isle Gymnastics in Kahului, Maui, Hawaii is accepting applications for a women's competitive gymnastics coach. Applicants must be eligible to legally work in the United States, and must provide proof of eligibility.
First and foremost, above all else, applicants must have the personality and demeanor that clearly reflects the core values and philosophies of Valley Isle Gymnastics. That is, applicants must know how to obtain positive results from athletes without resorting to the negative measures that have existed in so many competitive programs for so many years. Applicants must be able to develop and manage programming that produces a happy, healthy, committed competitive team whose members are confident that they can truly compete with the best our state has to offer, training within the training schedule established by the gym's management.
Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of and ability to safely and effectively teach and coach the compulsory skills for women's USA Gymnastics Levels 4, 5, & 6. Applicants must be able to study and apply compulsory texts and updates as received from USA Gymnastics. Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of and ability to safely and effectively teach the optional skills for women's USA Gymnastics Levels 7 & 8, complete with a working knowledge of all difficulty requirements for athletes of these levels. Applicants must be able to demonstrate safe and effective spotting techniques utilizing the gym's current facility, equipment and apparatuses.
Applicants must be willing to submit to drug testing with the knowledge that Valley Isle Gymnastics strictly adheres to a zero-tolerance policy. Applicants must be willing to provide any and all essential information needed in order to conduct a thorough, legal background and reference check.
Valley Isle Gymnastics believes in pay for performance. The better your abilities to attract, relate to, and retain athletes, the better your pay.
Work hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 3:15 pm to 7:45 pm, Saturdays 7:45 am to 10:15 am
