Position available for personal trainer and coach for gymnast trying to reach level 8 or 9 before college.  Salary of $44,000 to $48,000 per year for training in personal gym in Montana 4-6 hours/day, 5 days/week. JOB TITLE: Recreational Gymnastics Instructor
JOB LOCATION: Montavilla Community Center - (OR)
JOB TYPE: Part Time
HOURLY WAGE: $8 - $10, based on experience

Current Open Position: Tuesdays, Beginning Gymnastics 4-4:45pm
Budding Gymnasts 4:45-5:30pm
Substitute for other days possibly leading to other days & times
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Provides supervision and direction to a group in gymnastics.  Plans and facilitates activities.  Promotes a healthy and safe environment while providing adequate supervision.  
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
1. Possess knowledge and skills in gymnastics.
2. Experience as a class leader/instructor.
3. Ability to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings and weekends.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
1. Able to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
2. Prepare and present appropriate programs & classes.
3. Lead class & educate/motivate class members.
4. Adequately respond to safety and emergency situations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinate with staff to plan & schedule classes and programs quarterly.
2. Instruct classes, demonstrate knowledge, skill & ability in gymnastics.
3. Communicate with staff regarding needs for supplies, space, etc.
4. Develop a rapport with class members and respond to questions & concerns.
5. Maintains accurate attendance records & returns them to the office.
6. Observe progress & discuss with students when appropriate.
7. Set up & take down gymnastics equipment as necessary.  Keep room clean & storage area organized.
8. Maintain control of students & facility area at all times to ensure safe & effective classes.
9. Follow all Portland Parks & Recreation rules, policies & procedures.
