Does that injury need stitches or not?
A new study shows that simply washing and
bandaging a cut promotes healing just as quickly and completely as stitches --
and this method requires less time in the emergency room and costs less.
You should get stitches when:
-
A cut is longer than 1 inch
-
You cannot stop the bleeding
-
There is numbness or it hurts to move the
injured area, which indicates possible nerve or tendon damage.
